Amsterdam-West came alive with warmth and laughter during the West Best Talkshow. Hosted by the inspiring duo, Reineke Jonker and Snorella, this talkshow has become a monthly tradition for the community of Amsterdam-West. The show is live and open to residents in the area. Each episode features a unique theme with a special guest to ensure an evening of engaging conversations and beautiful moments.
On October 28th, we delved into the world of blood (donation), featuring Eva-Maria Merz from the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam as the special guest. Eva leads research on donor behaviour at Sanquin blood bank. It was a successful and fun evening where the audience was entertained and informed about multiple themes such as the scarcity of certain blood types, the altruistic journey of blood donations, and the level of solidarity within our community.
The goal of the West Best Talkshow is not just to entertain people but also to provide insights into new topics and to create a platform for the community to come together and discuss neighbourhood issues. The audience was encouraged to share their thoughts during the show. This approach is meant to create a sense of cohesion between old and new residents, making the Amsterdam West district even more welcoming.
For those who missed the chance to be part of this event, don't worry! The West Best Talkshow promises more engaging themes, special guests, and unforgettable moments in the future. Stay tuned for the next episode through this link.
